Jon Nicholson has covered countless sports in his 40 years as a photographer, which included twice being the official snapper for the Olympic Games – in Barcelona in 1992 and London in 2012 – but it is to motorsport that this latest book is dedicated. Published by Fyshe, Macchina has 376 pages of photographs spanning Nicholson’s career, covering not just cars but the mechanics, spectators and life around events spanning the globe.
The book looks at all persuasions of motorsport, not just the glamour of Formula 1 that Nicholson is known for. It contains everything from stock-car racing in Nevada to the epic Carrera Panamericana endurance race in Mexico. Released in April, the run is limited to 1,000 signed editions. fyshe.com
