The Glenlivet has always been a whisky producer ready to try new things. In 1824, it was established as the first licensed whisky producer in the Glenlivet region and today the distiller works with an international collection of diverse creatives to subvert the traditional profile of a whisky drinker. It is fitting, then, that The Glenlivet’s latest release is something that once again breaks tradition in a fun and delicious way.
The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve is made for summer, for drinking in the last warm weeks of the year and keeping the party going through autumn. This single malt is finished in Caribbean rum barrels to lend the dark-amber liquid a hint of the tropical – notes of bananas in syrup alongside fresh apple and pear, and rich rum-like caramel.
The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve is delicious drunk neat, over ice, or in a suitably tropical cocktail, ideal for late-summer sipping.
Below are some of the best cocktails made with The Glenlivet Caribbean Reserve to keep that summer holiday spirit alive in the coming months.
