The Standard has opened its first hotel outside the US in King’s Cross, and inside its striking 1974 Brutalist exterior is a slick new bar and restaurant. Headed by award-winning chef Adam Rawson, all-day restaurant Isla will offer elegant seasonal dining, while the bar, Double Standard will serve craft beers, wine and classic cocktails along with a menu inspired by traditional pub classics, and NYC dive-bar food to fuel the fun well into the night. In October, the hotel will welcome a new restaurant from Michelin-starred chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias on the top floor.
