Turnbull & Asser is renowned for its quality shirts, prominently designed for business wear. Now the legendary shirt maker has introduced a new fit for those who like to look their best even on days away from the office.
The Weekend fit was inspired by archive imagery of Marlon Brando wearing his signature denim shirt, and the six-piece collection draws on a similar colour palette, featuring blue, cream and ecru tones. Each shirt has been designed with a shorter hemline, allowing the shirt to be worn untucked, and there are two new, softer collars for maximum comfort.
The brand’s take on the western shirt, which features a button-down collar, three-button cuff, utility chest pockets, western-inspired shoulder panels and mother-of-pearl buttons, is a highlight of The Weekend collection, and is available in deep navy cashmere blend twill or in Turnbull & Asser’s individual cream herringbone.
Alongside relaxed-yet-refined shirting for weekend wear, Turnbull & Asser has also released hand-rolled cotton pocket squares and untipped ties, a brushed-wool jacket in the brand’s signature single-breasted silhouette and tailored cord wool trousers. What’s more, the brand has collaborated with Blackhorse Lane Ateliers to create 14oz raw indigo denim jeans, woven in Japan.
The Weekend collection is available to purchase online and in stores from March 2019. Shirts from £215; turnbullandasser.co.uk
